All Doctors run afternoon and morning surgeries. Please be aware all doctors have a surgery each morning but not every afternoon. This may vary from week to week and with sickness, training courses and holidays.
Did you know you can book your appointment online?
Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed.
If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.
Routine appointments are booked by registered users via the Patient Access website. Go to the On Line Services page for further information. You may also book by telephone or in person during normal surgery hours.
EXTENDED HOUR APPOINTMENTS Woodside Practice provides an extended hour surgery each week. An early evening surgery operates from 6.30pm to 8.00pm for booked appointments. This surgery operates on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The day rotates weekly: to check exact dates please contact the practice directly
If you have a problem and you are concerned that it cannot wait until the next routine appointment please advise the practice team you have an emergency. You will then be given an appointment at the practice, with our Nurse, for an Emeregcny Triage - our nurse will be able to advise you, give you a prescription or offer you a referal to a GP appointment if needed.
Our doctors can typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible as the doctor has all your records and more facilities and equipment to treat you there.
If you feel that you or one of your family may need a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10.00am. Please give the receptionist details of the symptoms as well as the telephone number. Your request for a home visit will then be passed to the Doctor or Nurse. They may telephone you back to obtain more information or ask you to come down to the surgery.
