Routine Appointments

All Doctors run afternoon and morning surgeries. Please be aware all doctors have a surgery each morning but not every afternoon. This may vary from week to week and with sickness, training courses and holidays.

Routine appointments are booked by registered users via this website. Go to the On Line Services page for further information. You may also book by telephone or in person during normal surgery hours.

Emergency Appointments and Nurse Triage

If you have a problem and you are concerned that it cannot wait until the next routine appointment the receptionist will take your name and telephone number. You will then be given a time when the nurse will telephone you back to speak to you. At this point she may be able to advise you, give you a prescription or offer you an appointment. Please note that due to the unreliability of mobile telephones you will be given a time to telephone the nurse back if you do not have a land line.

Home Visits

Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible as the doctor has all your records and more facilities and equipment to treat you there.

If you feel that you or one of your family may need a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10.00am. Please give the receptionist details of the symptoms as well as the telephone number. Your request for a home visit will then be passed to the Doctor or Nurse. They may telephone you back to obtain more information or ask you to come down to the surgery.
