Specialist Services

The Primary Health Care Team provides the following specialist services:


Asthma - Please ask for an appointment with the asthma nurse at the surgery.


Blood Tests - These are undertaken by a phlebotomist, a person who is available by appointment at the surgery. You will need your blood form or the test cannot be done.


Contraception - The nurses and doctors provide the full range of choices. This includes coils, implants, contraceptive injections and contraceptive pills.


Antenatal Clinic -  The midwife runs a clinic at the surgery - book your appointment through our practic team.


Child Immunisation Clinic - Appointments can be made through our practice team.


Child Health Surveillance - You will usually be sent an appointment for your baby's 8-week check and first immunisations, by the CHS Team. If you do not get an appointment please contact the surgery.


Diabetes - This is undertaken by the doctors and nurses at the surgery. You will normally be given an appointment with the nurse for your blood tests and the nurse will book a follow up appointment with the doctor. At each appointment you will be given your next clinic appointment.


Cervical Smears - These are normally taken by our nurses. Please ask our practuice team for for an appointment - but please tell the receptionist what the appointment is for so they can book a longer appointment slot. 


Chiropodist - You will need to be referred by the doctor or nurse. This service is for all ages.
