Carers

Do you look after a family member, partner, neighbour or friend who cannot manage without help because of illness, frailty, disability, mental health issues, or substance misuse problems? If the answer is yes, then you are a carer and there is support available to help you! 

 

The Carer's Centre is a Telford and Wrekin Council for Voluntary Service Project (CVS). Telford Carers centre supports and enables carers to improve their quality of life and to be more confident and able in their caring role. 

The carers centre provides: 

  • Information and advice 
  • Individual support (Practical and emotional support, Help to access othewr support services) 
  • Carers concessions 
  • Group activities (Social support groups, walks, relaxation & wellbeing sessions and pamper sessions) 
  • Community hubs 
  • Young adult carers (18-24yrs) 
  • Transition support, inbetweeners club, trips and events and peer support 
  • Young carers (5-18 yrs) 

 

To receive support from the carers centre, the person you care for should be over 18 years of age and be resident in the Telford and Wrekin area.
